Printed by Guiraudet et Jouaust, via Saint-Honoré, 338. Printed in 2.5-point type.  "Brunet iii, 416 asserts that it is the type cast by Henri Didot" (Bondy). An exceptional copy of an important and scarce microscopically printed miniature book.  Inner blind ruled dentelles. Front paste-down endpaper with contemporary engraved bookplate in brown ink with motto "In Liefde Bloeiende" [blooming in love] and initials L.J.B. Above a beehive. The motto was associated with an Amsterdam Chamber of Rhetoric that faded into obscurity in the 18th century.  Bottom and outer edges untrimmed. 57 x 88 mm. Contemporary or slightly later full brown calf in the 15th century style - unsigned but by a prominent French bookbinder; spine with four raised bands; covers blind stamped with 60 five-pointed stars within lattice bordersand geometric framework.
