[288] pages. Reprint of Longman 1849 edition. Each page has single red line borders. Printed by Hazell, Watson & Viney, London & Aylesbury. British Library says 1889 but Adomeit argues for 1888 as a date. The last English thumb-bible that was reprinted twice in the USA but never republished due in great part to the rise of Photo-mechanical reduction and the growth of David Bryce miniature publications. Complete with exceedingly uncommon plain original cardboard slipcase. All edges red. Original yellow endpapers.     Contemporary ink ownership inscription on front free endpaper. Provenance: Mildred Thissell. 52 x 48 mm. Publisher's black embossed decorated paper covered boards.         Adomeit, A151 (locates copied in three libraries). Not in Johnston,  nor Spielmann.
